I also love Mercari for selling things I no longer want, need or use. Mercari is an amazing platform. Although they do take a listing and seller fee out right when the item is sold unlike when eBay used to wait it is not as bad.
Mercari holds the money up until the package gets delivered. If the buyer does not rate you within 3 days then mercari auto rates you and your money will go into balance and from there you can either buy things using the balance or send it to your bank.
Mercari also gives out coupons and discounts like if you want an item for $10 or more all you have to do is pay shipping and tax and to me I love that.
