Let me highly start by saying, Do not buy this camera unless you are okay with the non-stop connecting. I bought two of these to secure my property so I can see what is going on because well, someone decided they wanted to light our car and mailbox on fire. I got these well, they were cheaper than the Roku one we have but let me tell you I am switching completely over to Roku. The Arlo cameras worked decently.
You can record, Arm your house whether you are home or away and have it on standby. Each one does different things. This app also has a spotlight, and two way microphone and speaker. This was perfect until recently.
It started with the back Camera that is literally like 400ft from the other camera on the porch. It says it has good wifi connection but it trying to see it, it does non stop loading. I even restarted them trying to get them to stop and reconnect thinking they are stuck in a loop but they are still doing the same thing. This camera has been nonstop connecting for 10 days even with it restarted.
I also had the issue that it would only show one camera in the docking and the back door camera does not record all the time even if I have the parameters far it just does not. It only records when something is barely near it. These cameras are also lagged out. The sound does not sound good. It sounds like you are in a drum and just horrible quality.
Save yourself the headache and get a ring, roku, blink or any other camera but this one. I have a Roku and a ring. I have no complaints with them on the other side of my property they work great and way better than these.
