Ear wax can cause a lot of pain and discomfort in your ears. Growing up I would always have an ear infection and nothing could stop it. My father would use Bobby pins in my ears to clean them to help relieve the ears because the wax build up and drainage was so bad that they would always have to take me to the doctors with it and because of this, they wanted to put tubes in my ears. So instead of that, we would clean them out with a bobby pin which cleaned most of everything out and had me feeling better within hours. Using a Q tip was risky because it does not really get everything out. I use them to dry my ears because I leak and drain but I do not go down into the ear canal, I stay up to the top.
I decided I wanted to try something new and got an ear wax remover that has a camera. This thing does wonders and helps me clean my ears out with no issue. I love how this thing allows me to see what is in my ears and it also shows me how far I am in my ear so I do not cause damage and hurt myself.
The ear wax removal tool comes with extra booties so that you can change them out after awhile. I on the other hand, clean mine really well and sterilize it in alcohol so I can reuse mine later but I change out new ones for the kids.
This also has allowed me to clean out and check my kids ears because with my history of ear infections, they have started to complain about theirs and this lets me see what is going on and truthfully this thing is worth it. It is cheap but a great investment to keep your ears clean and remove the discomfort that you may have.
If you go too far, it will cause you pain but as long as you do not go too deep, you are fine. Some of them do have alerts on them that will pop up in the app so when you are too far in the ear and will give you a warning. If you are trying to go down to the grey thing in your ear, I highly suggest you do not because that is your ear drum and it will cause you pain getting down there because it is super sensitive. So be careful and mindful at how far you go.
